We have this beautiful level of attachment and independence. We survive health issues with love and laughter, and cruising together
We would like to thank you for supporting Pat and Erin in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met on an online dating site and, because we have chronic illnesses, I (Erin) didn’t feel like the first date we had planned to do. So Pat agreed to come and meet me at the Dunkin Donuts just down the street from my house and we lost all track of time as we sipped our coffee and laughed and commiserated. It hasn’t always been easy but the further we go, the better it gets.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our first “big” date at the Boston Museum of Science. I usually try to put up a facade of having things under control, but my balance and mobility issues were pretty bad, and I took out my cane and began to use it. Pat and I sat down on a bench together and he put his arm around me and we just existed together. And it felt so beautiful and safe. It meant the world to him that I allowed him to see my vulnerability and it meant the world to me to know I was safe to do so.
What would you do with $20,000?Pay off some debt and hopefully book a couple more cruises, which have become one of our favorite ways to connect and get closer.
