I was done with dating. So was she. One app. Weeks of texting and talking and finally a first date at a rooftop bar overlooking the bay-where she rushed in breathless after taking the wrong staircase. We watched a stunning sunset, closed every bar in town and ended up at her door where she had a strict rule; no one sets foot in her house on a first date. I tapped my foot in the partially open door and told her I was different than the others. I drove home electrified. Turns out that I was.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

She had left for Hawaii and a new life. After a month apart I visited and knew- I wanted to wake up to her forever. I proposed and she asked that we marry before my flight home in four days. We found a dress, rings and an officiant who crowned us in flowers and performed a traditional Hawaiian ceremony on the beach. Only her two daughters witnessed. As we exchanged vows and overlooked the Pacific a sea turtle surfaced. The officiant smiled and said it meant forever..she was right.

What would you do with $20,000?

We began with a sunset over the bay, married on a Hawaiian beach in four days, and have never stopped chasing the next horizon together. With $20,000 we’d sail the Greek islands toasting each other at sunset from the deck of a private charter. Two adventurers who found each other against all odds, finally slow dancing under Mediterranean stars-no itinerary, no agenda, just us and the sea.
