We met in the cafeteria at the University of Montevallo, introduced by my roommate. We didn’t start dating until after this one afternoon when I was walking around campus with rollers in my hair on my way to an event. He happened to be driving by and stopped at the corner where we spoke for a few minutes. A few days later we went to a campus movie, and afterward he asked if I wanted to go to his room to see his hamsters, lol! That was it. ❤️

We have share so many memories that make up the foundation of our relationship, especially every-day life raising our two boys. We were both teachers and had the summers and holidays with them and their cousins. We both loved to spend as much time as possible with them. But as far as just the two of us, our trip to Scotland was incredibly magical. We got to experience a different kind of togetherness with just the two of us having the time of our lives.

Winning $20,000 would allow us to travel back to Scotland, then to England and Wales. We want to take a trip in a canal boat on the Oxford Canal, travel down the Devon and Cornish coast to look for clues about King Arthur, and maybe look for fossils near Lynn Regis Charmouth!
