We met trying to save the world. She was the Executive Director of a nonprofit and I was running a holistic healing business.

What started as a working relationship began to blossom into something more. She was the first person I could be myself around; the holistic healer, the neuroscience nerd, and the corporate dropout. She loved all of it. She talked about her kids. She had separated from her husband after realizing she loved women. For a long time, I had known that I would never birth children, but would be raising them. I didn't know I would be getting a whole family; Nikki, her two kids, and even their dad. 😊
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory is when we were shopping at the AT HOME store. I was six months sober and my joy was starting to come back. There were a pile of mattresses in front of us. I gave her a grin and launched myself up on top of the stack. I landed on my back on top of the stack and we both burst into laughter.
What would you do with $20,000?Pay off debt and build a deck on the house!
