How did your love story begin?

James and I met at a special golf outing in October 2024 that was held for me and my daughter, Aubrey. James is the director of golf at the golf course so he was in charge of running the outing. The first outing was held to support myself and Aubrey following a tragic car accident that took the lives of my other two children, Emma (17) & Grant (13). He also lost a nephew (Carson) a couple years before, so we shared stories and bonded instantly. There was a reason that God brought us together.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory is when James proposed to me over Thanksgiving while we were at a light show with his family in Indianapolis. He surprised me at the very end with his proposal. We are getting married in October. He takes to Aubrey first to get her approval.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use some of the money for us and Aubrey would go on a much needed vacation together, some to help pay for our wedding, and we would donate some towards the Emma and Grant Memorial scholarships (Aubrey Strong Golf Outing) in which we raise money for local scholarships athletes looking to further their academic and athletic career in college. Emma and Grant were very loving, caring and giving kids, so we want to give back to local athletes in their remembrance.
