We met in high school in fall 1987—I was 16, PZ was 17. We flirted through class (and even got detention for it), then lost touch after he graduated and joined the Marine Corps. A year later, we reunited at a bonfire. I even befriended his sister to get closer to him! Our first date was that November 1988—and we’ve been together ever since
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?After 38 years together, we’ve shared a lifetime of beautiful memories. But if we had to choose one, it would be renewing our vows on the Amalfi Coast for our 30th anniversary. As we spoke our promises again, the sun broke through the clouds—like a blessing—lighting that perfect moment and reminding us our love has only grown stronger with time
What would you do with $20,000?We’d use the $20,000 to create even more memories together—traveling somewhere meaningful, maybe back to the Amalfi Coast to relive our vow renewal. We’d set aside some to celebrate with family, since they’re such a big part of our story, make a donation to a local animal rescue, and invest the rest in future adventures, making sure our next chapter is just as full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
