We met in yoga. I was teaching and Nick developed a crush and a strong practice! He told everyone at work and they called me “yoga girl”. Nick had a New Year’s party and invited the whole Studio to get me there, but I was clueless because I would not date my student. I was in a play and Nick bought a ticket, which was on his birthday, and my friend lit up and told me he had a crush on me. Later I invited him to an opera and the rest was history. Every date was more romantic than the last one!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Right now we are creating new memories daily as we moved my mother in to live with us. We are creating memories as a family of just the 3 of us and our pup. I’m more in love watching Nick care for both of us as he works full-time and cheers us both on our artistic pursuits and dreams. Of course the memory of our wedding “best day ever” also comes to mind. Winning the family talent show by doing a couples yoga routine to “I got you babe!” Every day we are fortunate that we have each other.
What would you do with $20,000?We plan to use a portion towards our nonprofit UpRising Yoga, providing direct services to incarcerated youth. Hopefully also a romantic vacation and using funds to help care for supporting our expanded family.
