How did your love story begin?

We had been attending the same dance scene for about a year, always sharing glances from across the dance floor but too nervous to break the ice. It wasn’t until we went to a dance and knew absolutely no one else that we talked, and the rest is history. Since then we have become volunteer history teachers together (while still dancing), teaching the next generation about long forgotten pieces of our past.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We travel a lot for our history events, so we’ve seen a lot of cool things. But one of our favorite memories was one night, as we were packing up for a trip, we went out and got McDonalds and sat right there on the ground in the complex where we live. It was almost completely dark outside, but it was such a simple reminder that we don’t need big or extravagant adventures to enjoy each other’s company. (Runner up answer - when first asked, Nick said “every moment with you is my favorite.”)

What would you do with $20,000?

While both of our gut reactions are to say something like “pay loans off,” we also think it’s important to take time for ourselves and enjoy the time we have. There will always be work, and there will always be bills… so why not spend that money to experience something you’ve never done before! Maybe we’ll spin a globe and travel wherever our finger lands! (Do they make globes anymore??) Something we have considered however, is visiting South Korea to find Nick’s biological parents.
