Our love story started at the Boys & Girls club, ages 13 years. Cece was waiting in the bleachers of a basketball game, to dance for the halftime performance. Nick was coaching. The ball rolled over to Cece and she threw it back to Nick. Sparks flew in Cece's eyes. We became friends, found that we had mutual friends, and eventually ended up at the same high school our JR year. We joined the Navy at the same time, and remained friends until dating at 37 years old.

There are too many favorite memories to pick just one. The most special was in 2019 when we decided that we were going to have a baby. Cece has 4 kids from a previous marriage, and Nick has 2 kids, and we had both decided we were done having children before we ever reconnected. Everything changed when we started dating. There was so much love in Nick's voice when he said "I think we would be great parents together". Cece agreed. Our baby was born in Oct 2020. She completed our family.

We are both artists, advocates, and activists for justice. We started a small farm. We hold community events for free. We also give away free food and clothes. Recently, we have started to struggle with continuing progress with the farm. We rely on our community to help us grow, but the economy is hard on everyone right now. If we won, we'd put it directly into building our farm into the art and nature sanctuary for the community that we've been working so hard toward.
