How did your love story begin?

Just like so many; at work of all places. The timing for us personally was awful, both coming off of some really crappy life events and hadn’t even started the process of healing. In weeks we became close friends through the most naturally flowing convos. It stayed that way for months before one drunken night of strip nerf was the turning point. The next 4 years were tumultuous, but the 6 after that have been filled with a big blended family (6 kiddos), chaos, laughter, and so much love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

10 years is a long time to accumulate so many amazing memories, but genuinely, it’s waking up to each other every day. We’ve both been through hell in various ways and being able to feel each other’s warmth and hear our hearts beating soothes the nervous system in a way we can’t describe in 500 characters. Every day. Every day is our favorite memory.

What would you do with $20,000?

We have a big dream of buying land and building a homesteading type community for our friends and family to build on as well if they wish. We see videos of beautiful cottages hidden in the forest with sprawling gardens full of food and flowers, goats, chickens, pigs…and our souls yearn for it. We would use this as a downpayment on the land that we’ll then turn in to our legacy and home base for our children to return to.
