We met on the school bus in August of 1993, when I was in 6th grade and he was in 8th. We talked every day and became best friends. We lost contact when he went to high school and met back up on my first day of high school. It was like we’d never been apart. Lost contact again until the summer of 2006. Started dating (we weren’t about to miss our chance this time! And married 11 months later)
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?There isn’t just one. After 20 years together we’ve shared so many great memories. The births of our children, picking out a home together, moving 6 kids and two dogs cross country, following our dreams. Beating every statistic that said we wouldn’t make it knowing we would. Maybe that one. Everything that said we’d divorce we made. Always knowing that we’re better together. Side by side. That together we can beat impossible odds and do anything. Breaking the cycle for our kids.
What would you do with $20,000?Honestly? Bills. We would pay bills, pay down the mortgage, maybe sneak in a weekend getaway or a mini family trip. Family is important to us. Making memories.
