How did your love story begin?

We met through a Christian dating service in 1991 in Austin, TX. We hit it off on the first date as we had similar life, religious, and political views. We enjoy similar activities (board gaming, bookstores, car shows, renaissance fairs). We married four years later. We became a family (2 children from previous marriage & 2 cats). The kids grew up and moved away. Glori is now retired. Brian will retire in about 2 yrs. Now we care for 3 of our neurodivergent grandkids (3, 6, and 7).

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Many memories over 35 years (dating and marriage). Christmas with the kids/grandkids, sports events, band, Caribbean cruises, short and long road trips, travel to Hawaii, Canada, Yosemite, Europe, coasts, mountains, and red woods, steam train excursions, hiking, and SCCA road rally. Love fine foods and wine tasting. On early CA road trip w/ kids we ran out of fuel at night. We coasted 7 miles, downhill. He walked to get fuel nearby. Two kind odd men gave him a lift back. We still laugh about it.

What would you do with $20,000?

Since Covid, we have not taken any trips. It would be nice to do a hiking trip together to a place we have never been before and create more memories. Maybe Maine in the Fall, train trip to Yellowstone in the Spring, the Grand Canyon, there are many possible options. Maybe buy a small used RV so we could do more road trips. We really just enjoy exploring the world together.
