How did your love story begin?

We met on a dating app, where he shared his work history, then joked he’d be right back with his credit score. I told him I could be wooed by a good one. From there, we planned a wildly inappropriate imaginary RV trip Lampoon style, involving margarita serving monkeys and nonstop laughter. I joked that if he wanted to meet me he could fly to my beach vacation. He did, booked his own room, and took me on our first date. We’ve been laughing and being our goofy selves ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Proposal day. He gave me three Valentine’s Day options for an overnight trip, I chose a zoo day. On the way he asked if I wanted to get a mimosa at our favorite fancy hotel lobby. I said “hi, have we met?!” Drinks at the lobby led to a surprise couples massage, then I gave him a book of our first dating-app messages. Choked up, he suggested a walk by the waterfall, where he proposed as strangers cheered from a bridge. Back in our room, I learned his bag held only champagne bottles and candles.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d finally take that ridiculous RV road trip we joked about in our very first conversation, complete with National Lampoons energy and plenty of margaritas. Then we’d use the rest responsibility: toward our home, our future, and a little breathing room. It would be the perfect mix of who we are as a couple: adventurous, practical, and always laughing.
