How did your love story begin?

Our love story began unexpectedly. I first saw him walking down a street in Stuart, Florida—skinny, smiling, unforgettable. Months later, we met again at a club and danced two songs. That became our routine. Eventually, we talked more, though I insisted we were just friends. Then everything changed. His girlfriend gave me a journal page where he described his future wife me ending with, “Monica Coleman…you will be my wife.” Over 20 years later, through life’s challenges, he’s still my soulmate.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory isn’t a big trip it’s simple nights at Jensen Beach Causeway. We’d bring snacks and a radio, sit by the water, and watch dolphins and manatees while music played. Nearby, crowds gathered, but we realized we didn’t need that. We had each other. Those quiet nights taught us that happiness is in simple moments talking, laughing, and growing together. Wherever we are, together is home.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won $20,000, we’d use it to replace our roof. After buying our Georgia home, we later discovered the shingles were installed incorrectly, and insurance won’t cover it. With kids in college and past medical challenges, saving has been difficult. Our home is our safe place, filled with memories. This support would ease a heavy burden and help protect the place our family will always call home.
