22 years together, 15 married. We choose each other every day, laugh often, grow stronger through every season—and still fall in love.
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
Our love story began when I was 18 and she was 17. We met through her cousin, who was one of my friends, and the moment I saw her, I got butterflies. She was dating someone then, but I knew she was someone special. I made her laugh, spent every chance I could with her, and even changed her name in her cousin’s phone to “My Baby”—a teenage joke that somehow became reality. What started as puppy love grew into 22 years together, and we’re still choosing each other every day.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memory is our wedding reception. We had a courthouse wedding, but later celebrated with family, friends, and coworkers who filled the room with so much love. Looking around and seeing everyone there to celebrate us is a feeling we’ll never forget. The laughter, dancing, hugs, and nonstop smiles made that night unforgettable. Every photo from that evening reminds us that our love has always been surrounded by the people who believed in us.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use the $20,000 toward buying our first home. We started our journey in a one-bedroom apartment and, after 22 years together, we’re still renting. We’ve built a loving marriage, raised two incredible daughters, and worked hard every step of the way. A home wouldn’t just be walls and a roof—it would be a place where our family could build new memories, plant roots, and finally hold the keys to a dream we’ve been chasing together for over two decades.
