We met outside a bar. My friend that was with me, rolled down her window, & I heard her say to this guy, jump in, she will take you home because she lives near you. I dropped her off & we started talking. We knew each others first names by then. He asked what my last name was & I said, it's long. He said that he better get out, & I said, what are you talking about ? He said that his last name was Long & we might be related. I said that I meant 14 letters long! My last name is Roethlisberger.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Oh, there are so many! Our honeymoon to start with. We both lived in Michigan all our lives. I had hardly been out of Michigan because my mom was a stay at home mom & my dad worked 40 hrs a week and then came home & farmed our land. We didn't have a lot of money. My husband and I took 2 weeks off for our honeymoon and we traveled to 14 states in that 2 weeks. It was amazing! Since then, we have traveled a lot, raised 2 beautiful children and now have 4 grandchildren. Life is grand!
What would you do with $20,000?We would take our kids & grandkids on a nice trip somewhere. We are starting to make memories for our family, instead of buying Christmas gifts. We do buy for the grandkids, but not for the adults.
