How did your love story begin?

We first met in kindergarten, one in the AM the other PM. We may have touched hands in 8th grade square dancing, and stood next to one another in our senior group photo. It took 23 years and a FB post to have our first conversation on the way to see a awkward divorce movie Crazy Stupid Love, laughing at his Velcro wallet and NB shoes and almost touching elbows. 9 months later after a questionable proposal at Spencer’s gifts we were married at Ferne Clyffe State Park on a hot Cinco de Mayo.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Standing in front of the Mona Lisa dripping wet and muddy, eating the best baguette of our lives. It started with delaying our trip due to the Kings coronation, figuring out language barrier to get bus tickets. Finding the right bus in the rain, just to have it do a u-turn and kick us off as they shut down the streets for the kings first visit to the French parliament. We walked 2 miles in the rain to the Louvre and finished the night with our son proposing at the top of the Eiffel tower.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the money to help grow our small farm ‘Ferne Clyffe Acres’. We found the property while on an anniversary trip to the waterfall where we got married; hence the name. The money would allow us to increase the number of vegetables and flowers we grow and work towards establishing a CSA. We would also use it to help establish a water source and improve our fencing so we can add livestock to our farm. All of this is with a goal of being able to give back to our community.
