We would like to thank you for supporting Mike & Becca in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We first met when Mike was in ninth grade and Becca was in eighth grade. Becca liked Mike instantly, but he didn’t seem to notice her at all! We went to different high schools, so we saw each other occasionally until Becca’s freshman year of college when she began attending the same university as Mike. Becca told her mom, “If I ever date this man, I will marry him!” After MANY shared meals and concert recitals (Mike is a percussionist), Mike finally asked her out, and the rest is history.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have shared so many beautiful moments over the last 21 years, but the one that crystallizes in our minds is a simple one: Sitting on a beach at sunset during family vacation a few years back, just after a thunderstorm. Our teenage kids were romping through the surf, laughing and collecting shells. Life was just simple and good, and we felt like maybe we’d done something right.
What would you do with $20,000?Candidly, dinner with the Goldblums is the real prize here! However, if we HAD to spend $20k, much of it would go toward a trip for us and our children—our other two favorite people in the world. We had always dreamed of taking a trip for our 20-year anniversary in 2025, but Becca was battling breast cancer at that time. Since then, life has had some unexpected turns, and we have not been able to go.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America's Favorite Couple, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
