After 52 years of not knowing each other, we connected through a mutual Facebook friend. About six years ago, Steven saw my profile and sent me a friend request. In September 2025, while visiting LA from Hawaii, he unexpectedly asked if I'd like to meet for coffee. We never met, but the day he flew home, we started video chatting and since then, we haven't missed a single day.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?When Steve picked me up at the airport in Lihue, Kauai, our eyes met for the first time. My luggage strap, face mask, and long hair were hopelessly tangled, leaving me with a crooked smile. He later said I reminded him of Diane Keaton in Annie Hall or Lucille Ball in I Love Lucy, and that he fell in love with my goofiness at that very moment. Then our eyes met, and everyone else in the airport disappeared.
