By chance. As a soft hearted, hardworking, artistic, autistic woman leaving NYC to start my next chapter, for reasons not known until I met my wife, I couldn't explain why I took a role in rural PA when I was getting unsolicited offers from across the US when asked. One day while on line in Dunkin Donuts for my daily dose of inspiration in a 1tiny town where I had no friends or family, a woman noticed me from behind. She,a nurse immediately told a friend who happened to know me, introduced us!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Too many to choose, but I'll share a day that normally would be heartbreaking, my dx of ALS, turned into the start of the best chapter of our lives. A movie was made about me, my career and our life together. On a trip to PTown, we walked on a thin bridge, in Beech forest. With our hands outstretched as high as I, we, could a bird land on my hand as if to say "you two can still fly high together"! The film crew caught the moment. What a trip, odd beautiful lives, finding home with each other.
What would you do with $20,000?We'd be so grateful.Paydown expenses that come w/ALS that causes stress when time is limited.Take another trip to a place that celebrates all and all love, Provincetown,MA one last time.The place I discovered at 14 when my parents kicked me out for being gay, proud enough to not lie about it.A place showed me despite being different, w/hard work, a positive outlook and determination, a great life is more than possible. A place where I mapped out how. Give a bit to someone in need, too.
