After a 32 year break up, we picked up where we left off! At 66 & 67 we’ve now been married for 15 years & grateful to grow old together.

We met when I walked into a campaign headquarters to volunteer for a candidate & the first person I saw was my now husband. We were 20 & 21 years old and he was the cutest boy I’d ever seen! He later told me that when I walked in, he told himself that he was going to marry me. We were engaged a few months later but our families were against it & we broke up. No internet, no cell phones back then—we went our separate ways…for 32 years.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?SO many! Having lost so many years together, we often say that we’re living in reverse! Since marrying in 2011, we have traveled the world, bought 2 homes & have had so many wonderful experiences. One of my favorites was ballooning at sunrise over Cappadoccia, Turkey! We just look at each other & marveled, not for the years lost, but for the miracle that we will grow old together.
What would you do with $20,000?We are involved with several organizations that could definitely use a financial boost so we would most likely celebrate by making a donation or two!
