Date 1: He picked me up from a bike repair shop, took me for Chinese food, & gave me a ride to work. Date 2: That night we went for cheesecake after work. Date 3: a week later he proposed at a theme park! We married in Vegas 6 months later. Everyone thought I was pregnant, but it took 12 years to have our kid. 33 years later, through major health battles, my brain surgeries, & a double mastectomy to flat, he is my rock. We still look at each other w/that very same first date love.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?After my benign brain tumor was removed, I told my mom I wanted to go to Italy to see where she grew up and thank the Pope. She set it up, and my husband and I packed our bags! He was right by my side as we celebrated my recovery, met my Italian family, and sat just 9 rows away from the Pope. Navigating Italy together after such a scary medical battle is our absolute favorite memory. A true celebration of life and love.
What would you do with $20,000?After surviving 12+ brain surgeries and a double mastectomy, this prize would be a true celebration of life. It would give us the financial freedom to travel and celebrate 33 years of marriage, while allowing us to fund local dog rescues, which gives pups the same second chance at life that I was blessed to receive.
