The toy store I worked in was in Old Town San Diego. My husband was working as a storyboard artist and was set to go to South Africa to work on King Solomon’s Mine. When he realized he couldn’t stay in the same hotel as the white crew because he’s Chinese he opted out. He came to San Diego to visit his friend and they came to the Bazaar for lunch. They walked into my store and we just immediately clicked. We went on our first date the next weekend. He lived in LA. On that date we fell in love
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?That first date we had we went to Balboa Park and Anthony’s fish restaurant that night. We couldn’t eat our dinners because we were just too enthralled with each other. It was sunset and it was beautiful.
What would you do with $20,000?Our eldest son is autistic and we’d probably put it in a trust for him. After a celebratory dinner out with our “boys” of course! They’re 36 and 33. Our youngest son and his wife realize they’re going to be his guardian when need be.
