DJ and I met in a romcom kind of way. He moved in next door to my mom, she introduced us, and it was a love at first sight kind of spark.
We would like to thank you for supporting Mia and DJ in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I was so shy around DJ the first few times. I could hardly look him in the eyes because I felt so strongly toward him, and he noticed. I had my own place at the time and invited him over to hang out. Both being adults, we played each other in 007 on my Nintendo 64 and then I made a bold move. I couldn’t pick something to watch, so I put on Scooby Doo and the Boo Brothers. As it turns out, it was also his childhood favorite. We spent the rest of the evening talking into the night.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? My favorite memory of our relationship is when we were doing long-distance. DJ had moved to Florida and I was still living in Arizona. We had lost touch for a couple of years but found our way back to one another. He paid for me to come visit for the weekend and he took me to his favorite spring to swim. I had never been to a spring and was blown away by the clear crisp water. We got snorkel masks and camping chairs and spent the afternoon enjoying the outdoors, followed by dinner.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, we would hopefully pay off our truck and be able to take our 4 kids on a lovely vacation. All it seems we do is work and stress about how to get by. We feel that the kids would be over the moon if we could surprise them with a big trip.
