Graduate orientation at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music when we became friends. Not only were we in all the same classes, but life kept putting us in proximity from the summer prior when we happened to be in Paris at the same time.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?At the start of our relationship, when we only saw each other on our lunch breaks, Max invited me to an evening of new music performance. I expected to miss it because I was rehearsing a new opera, but I was released early and ran to the venue. I arrived as he was making his way on stage. Our eyes met as I was finding my seat, and his face lit up. After the concert, he left the stage to sit beside me, and we spent the evening talking, holding hands, and sharing our first dinner out together.
What would you do with $20,000?Max and I have huge aspirations for our futures, in music, academia and our lives together. The 20,000 dollars would ensure that we are able to sustain ourselves not only through our masters but our continued graduate studies, and provide us stability in housing and eventually set us up for success in our long-term dating and relationship goals.
