How did your love story begin?

Paulie first noticed me on the subway, working up the nerve to say hello but never quite managing it. Then in 1976, he spotted me again, this time across a crowded disco floor, and finally made his move. One dance turned into a conversation that turned into a courtship that turned into a marriage. We built a life together from there, opening our pizza shop and growing roots in the Brooklyn community we both grew up in. Fifty years later, that same spark is still what keeps us going.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Opening our pizza shop together is the memory we keep coming back to. Pouring our savings, our recipes, and countless late nights into something that was ours. Watching it become a true part of the community, and building it side by side, is something we’ll always treasure. Coming back to Brooklyn, the place we both grew up, to make that dream happen made it even sweeter.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’ve spent fifty years on the go, running our business, supporting our community, and giving back at every turn without ever really stopping to catch our breath. With $20K, we’d donate a portion to charity, then finally take a dream vacation, one where we can just be together and truly appreciate everything we’ve worked so hard to build.
