We functioned in the same national organization. He was interested. I thought he was a pompous ass. I avoided him with the help of many friends. Somewhere I changed my mind. He was not aware. I arranged a fabulous date. He had no idea. He left early. Again, I was not about it! Six months later, a friend helped him woo me! Still hesitant, I inched in. In total, 20 years later, we were married and celebrate our 14th Aniversary on June 28th!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Waiting at the courthouse to be married. Realizing it was the wrong courthouse. Watching various people turned away at the right courthouse because they were carrying drug paraphernalia. Finally being married at the end of the day. Only to return to our condo which had no AC on the 90 degree night. Waiting all night and all morning for the reoair people to arrive.
