Marikin and TJ first crossed paths the modern way—through dating apps. They matched once before, but it wasn't until a second match brought them together again that everything clicked. Their first date was a beautiful blur of yellow roses, London Fog lattes, a beach sunset, and an unforgettable playlist. It was the start of something incredible—and the first of many little signs that they had found each other at the perfect time.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We traveled to Scotland to be a part of a UK family wedding. In Edinburgh, we wandered cobblestone streets, lingered in cozy cafés, and gathered a few souvenirs along the way. Between wedding festivities and stolen quiet moments, we treasured each other’s company—long walks, easy laughter, slow mornings. Somewhere along the way, it began to feel effortless, with this trip only solidifying our relationship further.
What would you do with $20,000?We hope to continue our travels together—this time to a new continent, with 2027 bringing our wedding and a dream of a trip to Perú to celebrate. Along the way, we would use the funds to help cover some recent medical bills, easing that burden together. We would also give back to the Busyhead Project, a mental health nonprofit founded by Marikin’s favorite musical artist.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America's Favorite Couple, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
