I worked at Trader Joe's for two years before she started three years ago. There were a lot of new hires around that time so I didn't think much of it. A week later we started randomly talking while stocking the cereal isle. One minute, laughing, the next, the convo got DEEP. Instant best friends. Our friendship escalated quickly. 10 months later it hit us both randomly... she kissed me and from that moment I KNEW she was it. After 28 years of singleness, the rest was history.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?The amount we've been through in 3 years feels like 7 years of marriage. It's been beautiful and hard. So many odds againat us. That moment when she asked me to marry her, lying in bed to go to sleep. She asked, unplanned and spontaneous, "Will you marry me?" I've never been more confident in saying, "Yes!" At the time we had no money and she couldn't afford a ring but I told her she had my complete trust... something neither of us thought we'd ever have.
What would you do with $20,000?We would donate a portion to Hopestart International (an orphange in Haiti I've worked with) and pay off the rest of our debt so we can buy our first property!
