We met in 2005, during an EMS run. I was supposed to be watching my nephew while my mom was showering and my nephew was jumping on the bed…. He bumped his head (and lip), my mom totally freaked out and called FDNY. Noel showed up. The moment I saw Noel, I ran to my mom and said “the man I’m going to marry is in the living room” to which she called me crazy and off we went to the hospital.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Probably when Maggie was in college (in Florida), I drove all the way from New York City to visit her. My friend and I made it to the state lines in 10 hours. We were young, drive ambulances and a little eager (obviously) lol! We spent time in Daytona beach, one night dancing under the full moon, in the ocean and I sang to her. Hardest thing was going back home and having to say goodbye. It was emotional.
What would you do with $20,000?We’ve been a family for 21 years and only ONCE in our 20 years together have we gone on a family vacation. My husband is the hardest working man I know. We’ve had many setbacks, much heartbreak and loss…. Our kids are teenagers and always around friends who take trips everywhere…. We just would really like a family vacation before everyone leaves the nest. A real chance to make memories, to enjoy this beautiful family we created, to relax and for my husband to finally breathe.
