Our love story began under disco lights, born from a playful bet after a disheartening summer. I had learned how lonely it felt to be forgotten, so I made a simple bet with my cousin, I’d meet someone new within a week. I never imagined I’d find the one person who would change everything. So, a week later, after one dance at a disco, I hadn’t just won the bet—I had found a heart worth holding forever. There are more interesting details to our story, but that’s for another day!

Aside from the birth of our three incredible daughters, it is impossible to choose one favorite memory because our life together has given us so many. Moving to New York City in 2007, after growing up near Pittsburgh, became one of our most meaningful chapters. At first the city felt overwhelming, but hand in hand we found our way, learned to call it home, and fell in love with it together. Looking back, that time was special because every new avenue, challenge, and discovery brought us closer.

We would take a once-in-a-lifetime family vacation—not the Griswold kind, of course. Maybe we’d escape to a tropical beach or wander through Europe together, savoring the laughter, closeness, and little moments that would become cherished memories for years to come.
