Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began when we were 15. Hayden saw a picture of me with our mutual friend and asked her for my number. She initially wouldn’t give it to him but after days of bugging her she finally caved. From there he reached out to me on every platform possible (scaring me at first) until I realised who he was and we got in contact and started dating shortly after. We broke up before going into college but both reached out to each other through writing using song titles in a shared playlist.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favourite memories together is deciding to move overseas after college. We both saved up by working all summer and moved into a tiny apartment in West London with a roommate. We had to make our money stretch so we would sit together in our apartment and eat bowls of mince with a bottle of £4 French wine. These simple date nights are some of our fondest memories. Over those dinners we planned our life together, talked about how to make our savings last, and solidified our partnership.

What would you do with $20,000?

We are currently living in Seattle and saving up for Hayden to get his MBA. I am currently finishing my master’s so Hayden is supporting the two of us with his income. With $20,000, we could take some weight off of his shoulders by completing our savings so he can apply to schools based on how much he likes the program without having to worry as much about the impact of cost.
