We met on the dance floor. As I was explaining an Argentine Tango move to a student, I saw Lynda practicing across the room. I asked if she could demonstrate the move with me. She was worried that she didn't know the dance, but trusted me to lead her through it. As we realized that our connection was better than average, we decided to try out a dance partnership together. Now, 8 years later, we continue to learn from each other and are happily dancing through life together.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We were on vacation in the Adirondack mountains, and decided to hike a trail that leads to three waterfalls. It was absolutely perfect weather, and yet there was hardly anyone else on the trail. At one of the waterfalls there was a stunning natural pool, and we spent the afternoon relaxing in the crystal clear water, surrounded by pine trees and peaceful nature. We came to the realization that we are very fortunate and already have everything we need to enjoy life together.
What would you do with $20,000?We are both passionate about sharing the joy of partner dance. We believe that dance is a blueprint for life, and can teach us many things about ourselves and how to respectfully interact with others. This money would be a stepping stone for us to create an outreach program to benefit our community and make dance more accessible to everyone.
