How did your love story begin?

Our love story began in a small Chicago bar where two worlds collided. One from South Africa and his from Peru. What started as a simple connection grew into a deep, undeniable love. Over time, that love became something even more meaningful when we had our daughters, the greatest reflection of everything we are and everything we’ve created. Our story isn’t perfect, but it’s real, it’s ours, and it’s filled with love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory with Lu isn’t just one single moment, it’s the beginning of us, because that’s where everything changed. I always find myself going back to that night in Chicago, eight years ago, at that small bar where he was working. I walked in expecting nothing more than a regular night, just another place, another moment that would pass like any other. But then I saw him!!! Lu. behind the bar, and something about him immediately felt different. So many more memories to make together.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I won $20,000, I would use it to build a more secure and stable future for my family. A portion would go toward paying down debt to relieve financial stress, while another part would be invested into savings for my daughters’ education. I would also set aside money to improve our home and create a comfortable, safe environment. Lastly, I would invest in my personal growth to open doors for better career opportunities.
