Our story started in the early 2000s when we were in elementary school and convinced Aleyrys was the prettiest girl in the world, But she moved to the DR in middle school, and we lost touch. Fast forward to senior year in 2011: she randomly thought of me, searched 8 pages of Facebook, and found my profile. We reconnected on BBM, and when she moved back to NYC that September, I wasted no time. I took her out, mustered up the courage to kiss her, and we spent the next 10 years dating.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?From childhood sweethearts to parents of two, our life is full of core memories—like our elementary teacher Ms. Lachapelle attending our wedding, or proposing in a literal blizzard. But our favorite chapter is our honeymoon. We traveled to Jamaica completely on our own, diving headfirst into a vibrant new culture. After a decade of dating, exploring a totally foreign world together solidified that no matter where we are, as long as we are exploring together, we are exactly where we belong.
What would you do with $20,000?Wow honestly, invest it on our kids. Save some for a rainy day and finally take that trip to Japan we’ve been thinking about!
