Our story started because of a Navy order change. Saul updated his dating app location to VB after learning he’d be stationed here, and somehow we matched. What was supposed to be a casual conversation turned into facetiming all day, every day for months. Before we’d even met, we already knew each other’s families, routines, and dreams. He finally flew to VA to meet me on Halloween, and from that moment on, we never looked back. One unexpected swipe turned into the love of our lives.

Our best memory was Saul’s homecoming after his deployment. After 320+ days apart, the countdown was finally over. Every late-night call, missed holiday, and “I can’t wait to see you” led to that one moment when we finally wrapped our arms around each other again. Nothing else mattered. It reminded us that no amount of distance can compete with a love that’s worth waiting for. ❤️

We’d use the $20,000 to build our future. Part would go toward a down payment on our first home, part toward our wedding, and we’d finally take the honeymoon we’ve been dreaming about after spending so much of our relationship separated by deployment.
