It all started about 4.5 years ago at our local neighborhood bar. A mutual friend introduced us and there was an open seat next to me at the table and Mike sat down. We initially bonded over our love for 90s/2000s hip hop and R&B. If you ask our friends they will say we were dating before either one of us realized we were dating. The friendship connection is what stood out. The ease of conversation made each encounter memorable and looking forward to meeting up again.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Oddly enough our favorite memory has to be our first and really only “fight” of our relationship. What makes it memorable is through that misunderstanding we really set the emotional ground rules for our relationship which have been the benchmark for each of us showing understanding, empathy and compassion towards one another. Since then we have laughed at the whole situation while appreciating what it taught us.
What would you do with $20,000?We rarely if ever have been able to go on vacation together. Mike has never been out of the country. We would love to check that off his bucket list. Our work schedules are crazy so finding time and having the finances for the two of us to get away from the crazy would be so special. After that we both have kids we wouldn’t mind spoiling and we have twin grand babies on the way due in November who of course are gonna need everything! :)
