We both were discouraged that we’d never find love, then we were set up and found out we lived across the street the whole time. Crazy!
We would like to thank you for supporting Libby and Andrew in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We were set up by a mutual connection after both of us had many (seriously, many) failed dates. He picked me up for our first date, and that’s when he told me he was my neighbor. We immediately had strong chemistry and ended up talking for 4 hours at dinner until the restaurant closed. Four dates later, he asked me to be his girlfriend.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Before he was leaving for a month for a medical missions trip to Kenya, he took me out to dinner for an early Valentine’s day celebration. That night, six weeks into dating, he wrote me a letter that said he loved me for the first time. It was the first time both of us ever loved someone romantically. We ate the homeade cake I made, slow danced in the kitchen, and probably said “i love you” 500 times that night. It was one of the sweetest memories!
What would you do with $20,000?We would use it for a down payment on a house or put towards his student loans from medical school. Or towards a nice wedding:)
