High school sweethearts …best of friends- donated my kidney to him and we are living& loving life!!
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
We met in high school in MO. I was a sophomore & Joe was a freshman. I thought he was cute and a friend told him. We then met at a friends house in December and had our first date in January 1976. Dated steadily for the next year, then his Dad was transferred to TX where he finished HS. We met back up in College & were married the day after Joe graduated 1983. We moved to Dallas, then New Orleans where he started his career. Was transferred to KC where we welcomed our 2 children, Dylan&Emily
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Aside from the birth of our children, one of the greatest joys and blessings of our lives was discovering that I was a match and being able to donate a kidney to my husband. We were both overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude, knowing that this gift would give us many more years to share together. The experience strengthened our love & deepened the bond we already shared, reminding us of the power of love, sacrifice, & commitment. Going through this journey together made our love even stronger
What would you do with $20,000?We would take part of it and take our children and 4 grandsons on a fabulous vacation together. Would take 5k and donate to charity and another 5k to randomly hand out in $100 increments to strangers at Christmas time!
