We met in the Calarts dance program. Both ambitious dancers, career oriented, the dance studio is where we fell in love. And it’s where we continue to fall in love. Both choreographers, we make all of our work together, using the studio as a place to continue to learn and grow together. Our love is full of movement.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory as a couple is the moment we knew we were in love. After 3 years of being best friends, and denying our feelings for each other, we went on a trip to Joshua Tree with a group of friends. We laid together on the desert floor, looking into each others eyes under the stars, and at that movement we both knew there was no way we couldn’t be together. It felt like there was sparkles in our eyes. It was the closest thing to God I’ve ever felt. We started dating a month later.
What would you do with $20,000?We are newly weds! We got married in Arkansas this past May (a queer wedding in a red state, an act that felt so radical). We are young and building our life together. With $20,000 we would likely put it towards buying the land we have always dreamed of settling down on. We hope to have a family one day, and this would help us towards that goal.
