High school sweethearts for 7 years, we’ve grown together through every stage of life and now attend university side by side.

Our love story began in high school band. Jorge was a freshman, and I was a sophomore with a silly crush on him. I asked him to a school dance, and that one date turned into seven amazing years together. Today, we share our first apartment, a dog we adopted from a local shelter, and attend the same university while pursuing our degrees. Music brought us together, and love keeps us growing!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory as a couple was adopting our fur baby, Dagwood. Nearly two years ago, we decided we wanted a companion to love, care for, and nurture together. Since then, Dagwood has brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives. He’s truly the perfect addition to our little family and is loved by everyone he meets. This August, we’ll be celebrating his 6th birthday, making even more special memories together.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won $20,000, we would invest it in our education. As first-generation Latino students, earning our degrees is one of our highest priorities. I would use the funds to help complete my master’s degree, while Jorge would save his portion to begin his master’s program next year. Since we first met, we’ve supported each other’s academic and career goals, and this opportunity would help us continue building the future we’ve worked so hard to achieve together.
