We met on AOL in 2005. When he told me he used a wheelchair because of a childhood injury, my only response was, “And?” That simple moment became the beginning of our story. We built our love on friendship, trust, respect, and choosing each other every day. Now more than 20 years later, he’s still my best friend and my favorite place to be.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have made so many incredible memories together, but my newest favorite is the road trip we just went on. We traveled through Tennessee, Alabama, and Louisiana, making unforgettable memories every mile of the way. It reminded us that our favorite place isn’t a destination—it’s wherever we’re together. Now all we want to do is keep traveling and making memories side by side.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use the $20,000 to help us move forward after a difficult year. My husband recently lost his teaching job. As a wheelchair user, it took years to find a school willing to give him the opportunity he deserved, making this loss even more devastating. The money would ease the financial burden, help us to keep our home and continue making more updates to make it more wheelchair accessible for him.
