How did your love story begin?

I took a stage role in Wellsboro as a fireman in an absurdist comedy. My big moment required low-budget stage magic: lighting a cigar off a "burning" hotel room. Hidden precariously in the dark behind the painted scenery was a young woman. Her sole job was to strike a match and hand it to me through a fake window. I didn't know it then, but I had just met my future wife. We later opened our bookstore together, but that romantic fire has been burning for over twenty years.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our ultimate date night? Hosting hundreds of wizards at midnight. When the final Harry Potter book dropped, our bookstore transformed into a madhouse of capes, wands, and pure magic. Managing that beautiful chaos together remains our absolute favorite memory as a couple. Running a shop is hard work, but wrangling a sea of hyped-up muggles alongside your soulmate is surprisingly romantic. We didn't need a love potion that night—the sparks were already flying. Always.
