Connect How did your love story begin?

Kenneth and I have been friends since the 8th grade, and I was his wingwoman throughout middle school and high school. Even after I moved away, our friendship remained constant. Years later, our hangouts became more frequent, our calls became longer, and we started seeing each other differently. Despite the fear of risking our friendship, we chose to pursue a relationship. Through faith, patience, and God’s timing, our friendship became something beautiful: a true friends-to-lovers story.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite shared memory is our engagement. Kenneth knew I wanted our loved ones there, so he planned a proposal surrounded by friends and family. After two weeks of rain, the state park was lush and beautiful, reminding us of the green pastures in Psalm 23. When he got down on one knee, we were both overwhelmed with gratitude and disbelief. It was a moment that marked not just a proposal, but the beginning of our forever together.

What would you do with $20,000?

Winning $20,000 would be a huge blessing for us. We would use it to pay down our student loan debt, which would give us greater financial freedom as we continue pursuing higher education and building our future together. Any remaining funds would go toward our wedding this November, helping us celebrate this special season surrounded by the people we love. It would not only ease financial stress but allow us to start our marriage on stronger footing.
