January 2027 we will celebrate 45th! It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. We trust and respect each other. We would do it again!

We met on beautiful Mackinac Island in Michigan. My sister was working at the Grand Hotel and I went to visit her one weekend and met the most handsome,kind man I had ever met. He’s from Jamaica and was in Michigan working as a waiter from May to October. I was a nurse and applied to work as a maid at the Grand May to October. Each time he went home and came back it was like we had never been apart! We did the long distance thing for 3 years without cell phones!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Wow we’ve shared so many wonderful memories. We both agree our favorite was our 30th wedding anniversary party. We had it at the beach, and what made it special was that our families were together. When we were married no one from his family was there. This time his mom, brothers,sisters, nieces nephews and most of all our kids were there to see us renew our vows. It was a party everyone still talks about. The music, delicious Jamaican food cooked by my sister in laws, and our island fudge!
What would you do with $20,000?We will take a river boat cruise in Europe. We have talked about it for years but life took over and we have not been able to.
