How did your love story begin?

After losing her husband of 28 years, Beebs moved to Alabama to be near family and started Dothan Seasoned Singles to make friends. KB was healing from a painful breakup and found companionship at the VFW. They met through mutual friends, started chatting, and quickly discovered a shared sense of humor and many common interests. A broken-down convertible gave KB an excuse to get Beebs’ phone number. Neither wanted a relationship, but friendship slowly became something much more.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories was our first Thanksgiving trip together. Beebs invited KB to her hometown, six hours away, to meet family and friends. On the drive home, traffic slowed to a crawl, but instead of getting frustrated, we turned the car into a concert stage. We took turns picking songs, sang at the top of our lungs, shared stories from our pasts, told jokes, and laughed for hours. What could have been a long drive became a perfect day together.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, we would purchase a lot on or near a lake and create a special place for our family. Whether it’s a camper today or a future barndominium, our goal is the same, a place where our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren can gather, fish, swim, make memories, and enjoy time together. We believe the greatest investment isn’t in property, but in creating a legacy of family, laughter, and togetherness for generations to come.
