How did your love story begin?

For Katie’s birthday, a friend gifted her a glassblowing class taught by Wayne. Both were newly single art teachers in the same district, and Katie was instantly drawn to Wayne's energy. Wayne tried to stay professional, but his 15-year-old son/assistant casually revealed to Katie’s friend his dad was single. When Katie mentioned they worked in the same district, Wayne’s face dropped with instant regret. It felt like absolute fate, so she messaged him later to meet up and swap teacher stories.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our absolute favorite memory is getting married at New York City Hall with all the kids right there with us. This special moment perfectly blended timeless New York energy with the pure, chaotic joy of having our entire family completely together. Being surrounded by the city's classic charm and the people we love most made it an unforgettable milestone—completed perfectly by the beautiful, custom blown glass flower bouquet that Katie and Wayne carefully created right inside their glass studio.

What would you do with $20,000?

Winning would make our dream honeymoon in Paris a reality, where we’d stroll hand-in-hand along the Seine, lose ourselves in world-class art museums, and toast to our future at cozy cafes. Back home, the remaining funds would go toward fixing up the glass studio where we met, preserving the magic of the place where our story began. We would breathe new life into the workshop, updating the workspace and restoring its charm so it can continue to inspire creativity and connection for years to come.
