Actually, I was working in a small town deli. He was friends with the owners. That’s how we met. He would always say “ we should go to lunch sometime” for three months this was what he said. Finally, we went to dinner ( he was a chef so he picked a nice restaurant) over dinner we talked about our lives - I was 24 and he was 27. He traveled a bit where as, I was not given that opportunity. We clicked and life began for us.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Early dating I’d say buying that deli we met in. Together working at it for over 20 years, seven days a week. Building relationships as a mom and pop business and having our 3 daughters join us as well in that business . We grew as a family and a large part in our community . We sold it in 2009 after 21 years catering and deli business. Now, we are grandparents and enjoying our time with our children and their families . It has been quite a journey . A rewarding journey .
What would you do with $20,000?We would love a small vacation before we are too old to travel very far. We would put toward our grandchildren’s education. We would budget to make the most of it. Thank you for reading.
