Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began during Covid when we matched on Tinder - I (Kathy) was 47 and he (Sean) was 45. Our first date was ax throwing and we hit it off immediately. We would go to comedy shows, dinners, movies, trivia nights, or just cocktails out as our dates as we got to know each other. We were intentional with our actions, waiting a year before I met his kids from a previous marriage to be sure we were a sure thing. We married on the 4th anniversary of our first date - 1/17/25

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory was a family wedding our first year together when we travelled to Florida. My cousin was getting married and it would be the first time Sean was meeting my family. Coming from a big Portuguese family, it was sure to be an intimidating experience for Sean but he acclimated seamlessly to my loud, and sometimes obnoxious, family. He also had met my mom just once before that trip. She has Alzheimer’s and she took to him immediately, dancing all night with him.

What would you do with $20,000?

After moving into our current home in 2023, we have really enjoyed doing home renovation projects like hardwood floor installation and painting projects. One project we can not do ourselves is remodeling our master bathroom and we would use the money to do that project.
