Connect How did your love story begin?

We met on a blind date (first and only for both of us). My dear friend, Ashley was dating a guy named Mike for about 6 weeks. She had me meet him to see what I thought and he pretty immediately asked me, “What kind of guy do you like? I think I have someone for you.” I replied with, “Not an asshole. Let’s start there.” Mike and Ashley broke up before we went on our second date, but Michael and I are forever indebted to him for that introduction.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We bought two acres of land, built a custom house (my Covid project), and moved away from the big city 4 years ago. Every day, we discuss how much we love our life in the country and how happy we are that we took this chance. We both work from home, and at first that was an adjustment (what are you doing in MY office??), but now I can’t imagine us not sharing our days together in our lovely house. We love to travel when it gets cold, but in the summer, you’ll find us at home in our pool.

What would you do with $20,000?

One of our best friends has a son with a rare disease, Creatine Transporter Deficiency. There is currently no cure and our friend has dedicated his life to raising money, awareness, and research for his son, Lucas. We would donate the money to his cause and hope that the continued support helps find a cure for CTD.
